Concrete Roof Coating Project Planning
Concrete roofs require evaluation of the concrete surface, cracks, joints, moisture, previous repairs, and drainage. A coating should not be selected until structural and water-entry conditions have been separated from coating preparation.
Evaluate the concrete surface
Record crack locations and widths, joints, penetrations, spalls, laitance, contamination, previous coatings, repairs, and areas that remain damp. Structural movement, active leaks, or deteriorated concrete should be evaluated before surface preparation or coating work.
Confirm compatibility and current instructions
Review the current Lexis product data and safety data for every proposed cleaner, primer, sealant, reinforcement material, and coating. Confirm that the products are compatible with the existing roof and with one another. Complete any required adhesion testing on the actual roof before ordering the full project quantity.
Define the work before ordering
Document preparation, repairs, detail treatment, application method, coverage or film-thickness requirements from approved product data, weather limitations, safety responsibilities, and exclusions. Contractors should include these items in the written scope. Building owners doing their own research should use the same checklist when comparing options.
Ask Lexis about product selection
Send the roof type, approximate area, current condition, existing coatings or repairs, photographs, and project location through the Lexis contact page. These details help narrow product choices without assuming that one system fits every roof.
