Acrylic Roof Coatings

Acrylic roof coatings are water-based protective coatings and offer excellent weather resistance against weather elements like rain, snow, and UV radiation.

They have good elongation, flexibility, and adhesion properties. Roof coatings can extend the life of your roof by reflecting the sun's heat and stopping leaks.

Benefits

  • Dramatically extends the life of your roof.
  • Seamless membrane provides a watertight seal.
  • Expands and contracts with the roof.
  • Reduces energy costs by reflecting the sun’s heat.
  • Excellent resistance from the sun’s damaging UV-rays.
  • Water clean up saves you money on solvents and the associated disposal costs.

Acrylic coatings are easy to apply through sprayers, and spreaders. Clean ups are also just as easy with water. Moreover, their low VOC content means it releases fewer harmful chemicals into the air during application.

Limitations

Being water-based, acrylic roof coatings have a narrower application window and should not be applied when temperatures are below 50°F and falling. They also don’t stand up well to ponding water. Consider our hybrid system for flat roofs such as built-up, modified bitumen, and single ply roofs.
